It's like I fall off track and get back on track, lose motivation and regain it....... I need to work on it, my determination, I know what I want in my head and I can see it. But gosh dang, it can be hard mentally, I am still on a mission to get that body I want. I've come quite a ways the past 2-3 years and I'm still going. So I have now been training under Paul Thompson for just over a month at #ironunderground my squat was sooo terrible I had to start at just the bar, my deadlifts were ok (yay deadlifts) and my bench also terrible and 25kg lol. I'm so pleased with how much progress I've made already thanks to Paul's genius! I can now bench 40kg,my squat is to proper depth and my deadlift is getting stronger. I'm in love 😍 with this sport I can't believe it's taken me almost 10 years to give it a proper go. It may not be a very comfortable conversation, but one that needs to be had in order for your health and well being! ❤ #Repost @pelvicfloorexercise ・・・ Pelvic Floor Exercise Tip of the Day: If your personal trainer gets you to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or heavy/ bulging in the vagina or makes you leak as you do it, then stop and say NO. Work with someone who understands how to modify exercise when needed. It isn't always the exercise itself but they way you do it ( as my friend @physiodetective would say) however you need to be working with a trainer who understands this and has the knowledge, or willingness to gain the knowledge, to work with you and wherever you are at in your pelvic health journey. There is too much scaremongering in the field of pelvic health with recipes of must do this , must not do that. Yes there are women for whom some exercises are not ideal , others can happily do the same exercise . Just be aware of how things make YOU feel and learn to speak up and adjust as required . What does strong mean to you? * That’s something i ask myself often, and depending on the place I'm at in my life, the answer varies. * But at the end if the day, to me, strong means powerful and confident in my body. It means I can provide for and protect myself. It means I can go to the gym and lift heavy shit. * It also means i can pick myself up when i stumble during life's hard times. * I don't know about you, but my goal with lifting weights is to not only look and feel great, but to develop resiliency so that in light of life's setbacks, instead of getting knocked down and staying down, I have the resilience to get get back up. * This is what keeps me returning to the iron, day in and day out.
