I want you guys to do something. But first, I'll explain. I was at the gym yesterday and looked up at the tv and saw the headline "Avoid Becoming 'Beauty Sick' • Think Of Your Body As A Strength. Not A Problem" 〰After seeing this, I stopped my workout, took out my headphones and just listened. The author of this book "Beauty Sick" was talking about how obsessed our culture is with beauty; as women we can be so focused on our physical appearance that it drains us so much mentally and emotionally. It ends up taking away from other important things, and leaving women feeling horrible about their bodies. The segment also showed little girls repeating what they heard their mom's say about their bodies (I hate my hips, my thighs are too big, etc). Hearing that as a child and then growing up to seeing what are these "perfect" yet photoshopped images on social media...no wonder women have such a complex.
Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't care about your physical appearance or feel guilty about posting a flattering photo on social media. I will be the first to say that I love my fake eyelashes and my self tanner 🙈 And I, like most others, want to post photos that I think are the most attractive and flattering. But don't let those things make you feel inferior. Yes, we want to paint ourselves in the best light but it's not healthy to become so obsessed with it that it ends up interfering with your life as a whole. If you happened to read my recent blog post on self-confidence then you know exactly what I'm talking about!

I'm not sure if many of you know, you probably do due to all my activity all of a sudden lol but this year I started chasing after my dreams that I had from a very young age, to help motivate people in and out the gym and start my own clothing line and although I'm no where close to where I want to be I'm striving each and everyday to make it possible and I wanted to tell you guys if I'm chasing after my dreams, you guys can too just take that first step!
